The job
A cramped 1990s kitchen in a stone cottage just outside Tewkesbury: pine doors, a cracked laminate worktop and a layout that fought the owners every morning. Hollins & Webb stripped it back to the walls, re-ran the first-fix plumbing and electrics, and fitted sage-green shaker cabinets, quartz worktops, oak open shelving and a butler sink under the window. Three weeks on site, snagging done, handed over the Friday before a family Christmas.
The problem
Hollins & Webb win almost every job where the customer has seen their work in person. The trouble is getting that far. Their enquiries came from a directory, sat in a list next to four other fitters, and were decided on price before anyone saw a finished kitchen.
What one job became
The fitter took twelve photos across the job — before, at first fix, at handover — and sent a three-minute voice note from the van. That was their whole part. From it:
- A case study page for their website, telling the job from brief to handover
- A before, during and after set, edited and captioned, for the website and their Google profile
- Four social posts — the reveal, the first-fix detail, the butler sink close-up, and the customer's words
- A Google Business post, so the job shows up where Tewkesbury searches start
- A review request, written for them to send the homeowners on handover day

The brief was simple: "we want to be able to cook in it." The room didn't get any bigger. It just stopped getting in the way.

Just finished: a cottage kitchen near Tewkesbury. Sage shaker units, quartz tops and a butler sink under the window — stripped back to the stone and rebuilt in three weeks. Before-and-afters on our website. Planning a kitchen? We'll come and measure up.
Sample — review request
Thanks so much for having us over the last three weeks — we hope the first proper Sunday roast in the new kitchen goes well. If you've got two minutes, a quick Google review really helps a small firm like ours: [link]. Thanks again — the Hollins & Webb team.
Why it works
A homeowner spending £15,000 on a kitchen wants to see one finished in detail before they trust anyone with theirs. Now, when Hollins & Webb are asked "can you send some examples?", they send a link — and the conversation stops being about who's cheapest.
This is a concept project: the business is made up to show what a Job Story looks like. The thinking, writing and standard are exactly what you'd get.
